I saw the sun turn toward her

as she walked barefoot in the wet grass.
It was pleased to kiss her cheeks just pink,

and I was pleased to see the spark of her
for the very first time. I imagined us sharing

a blanket and bread and laughter
until the attentive light left us alone

and I ran my fingers through her twilit hair,
entirely captivated by the deepest blue

of her eyes and trembling as she let me
lean upon her breast and breathe.
